OPDATERET.

"Successful Young Breeders stay in Business
For nearly 20 years Danish Warmblood has had a division for young breeders and they have successfully participated in the five most recent WBFSH’s world championships for young breeders. Some of the Danish young breeders are living out their dreams of working professionally with horses.
At some of the major Danish stallions stations the young staff and probably future managers are Danish young breeders who have been involved in the organised work of the association and have participated in some of the world championships.
The world championships for young breeders are organised by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses and take place every second year. The 2017 world championships were held in Spruce Meadows, Calgary in Canada and provided the Danish young breeders with several individual medals and titles.
Senior contestant Lasse Bendixen won gold in presentation in-hand, bronze in judging free jumping, and overall Lasse became the best senior contestant in Canada. Lasse works as a handler and rider at one of the leading stud farms for show jumpers in Denmark, Stutteri Ask and is often seen presenting their top horses in-hand at stallion licensings, mare gradings, foal shows and young horse classes.
Another successful Danish senior contestant in Canada was Christian Springborg who became best senior whip handler. Christian has been involved with horse breeding since he was a child, and at the age of 17 years he became the world champion in presenting in-hand. At the age of 25 he has now graduated in agricultural and equine sciences and holds a position at the stallion station of Helgstrand Dressage working with Jesper Bisgaard Nielsen who has been a fellow young breeder participant for a number of years.
Christian has previously worked at Blue Hors and Jesper at Katrinelund, and both of them continue to pursue their dreams of working with stallions in a professional environment. This also counts for 25-year-old Martin Riisbjerg Klavsen who has grown up in a horse breeder family and is a former young breeder in Danish Warmblood. He is now employed at the largest stallion station in Denmark, Blue Hors where he works both with the stallions, young colts and broodmares.
For all these talented and ambitious young men their yearlong involvement in the young breeders’ association of Danish Warmblood has been a solid foundation and a stepping stone to their current career."
